At El Mariachi, food has always been about more than serving a great meal. It’s about family, connection, and creating a place where people can slow down, gather around the table, and enjoy time together. We believe the kitchen is the heart of a home, the place where stories are shared, traditions are passed down, and some of life’s best memories are made. That same spirit is at the center of everything we do. We love preparing the dishes and flavors we grew up with and sharing a little of our culture with the communities we’re proud to call home.
Our story began in Greenville, Mississippi, in 2019, when the first El Mariachi opened its doors. What started as a love for making food for people quickly grew into something bigger: a place to build relationships, meet new faces, and welcome families, friends, and neighbors back again and again. In 2021, we expanded that family with a second restaurant in Rolling Fork, Mississippi.
In 2023, the Rolling Fork restaurant was completely destroyed by the devastating tornado that struck the community. But Rolling Fork has always meant more to us than a building. It is a community filled with people we care about, and rebuilding was an important part of continuing our story there. After two years of work and perseverance, El Mariachi Rolling Fork reopened in 2025, giving us the opportunity to once again serve the families and neighbors who had supported us from the beginning.
Today, the El Mariachi story continues to grow. We are working toward opening our Crossett, Arkansas location and look forward to welcoming the community through its doors soon. In the meantime, we’re excited to begin connecting with Crossett through catering events coming in 2026. Wherever El Mariachi goes next, our purpose remains the same: to serve generous food made with care, share the flavors of our culture, and create a welcoming place where everyone who joins us at the table can feel like part of the family.
